Pasta with vegetables





Ingredients:
Pasta-2cups
Vegetables-1.5cups(Cabbage,capsicum/bell paper,broccoli )
Onion sliced-1medium
Garlic-2cloves(Chopped)
Tomato puree-1 cup
Sugar-1/2tspn
Britannia cheese slice-4
Pepper powder-To taste
Oil/Butter -2tbspn
Parmesan Cheese-For garnishing 

Method :
  1. Boil the pasta as per the directions in the packet.
  2. Take a large wok or frying pan add oil/butter.Add onion and garlic and saute till brown.Add the vegetables and cook till done .
  3. To the vegetables add salt,pepper powder,sugar ,tomato puree.Mix well .
  4. Add the cheese slice .Keep on mixing them well with the vegetables.You can add little water so that it does not stick to the wok.
  5. Now add the pasta and mix well .
  6. For garnishing add Parmesan cheese 
  7. Serve hot !!!

Chocolate chip cookies




Ingredients: 
Maida/flour-1.5 cup 
Sugar-1 cup 
Salt-A pinch
Vanilla essence-1tspn 
Butter/Margarine -1stick (Softened )
Egg-1
Chocolate chips-1cup 
Baking soda -1/2tspn 

Method: 
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Cream together the butter/margarine, sugar,  until smooth. Beat in the egg , then stir in the vanilla. Dissolve baking soda in hot water. Add to batter along with salt. Stir in flour/maida and the chocolate chips.
  3. Drop the mixture on to the un-greased tray by large spoonfuls .
  4. Bake for about 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until edges are nicely browned.
  5. Make sure the cookies are completely cooled down before storing them.
A tasty treat to have with tea/coffee !!

Prawn ,bell pepper fry







Ingredients:
Prawn-1kg
Haldi /turmeric powder 1tsp,
Chilli powder -1tspn,
Onion-11/2cup sliced ,
Bell-pepper( green,orange,yellow,red )-1.5cup,
Salt -To taste.


Method:
Marinate the prawns with salt and haldi powder and leave it for 1/2hr.In a wok ,add oil,then add the marinated prawns and fry till done .Keep aside .In the wok add 1/2tbsp oil ,when hot simmer the gas and add onion,bell pepper ,salt to taste,haldi powder .Sauté for 5mts or till the vegetables are done .Add the fried prawns and mix well .
Serve it hot as a starter or as a side dish .Yummy !!!

Tomato Rice




This is a famous South Indian rice preparation.Tomato lovers will love this recipe!


Ingredients:
Rice-2cups(Boiled /cooked)
Tomatoes-4 medium(small pieces)
Green chille-2
Curry leaves-7-8
Onion-1medium(chopped)
Garlic -3pods(crushed)
Coriander leaves- handful

Mint /Pudina leaves-5-6 leaves
Haldi powder -1/2tsp
Dhania powder-1/2tsp
Salt-To taste
Oil-3tbsp
Mustard seeds-1/2tsp

Method:

  1. In a frying pan add oil,let it become hot then lower the flame add mustard seeds.When it crackles,add  chopped onion.Fry till brown.
  2. Add the chillies,garlic ,curry leaves and tomatoes .Fry till oil separates .
  3. Add haldi powder,salt to taste,dhaniya powder,coriander leaves and  mint/pudina leaves.Saute' for a few seconds.
  4. Now add the cooked rice and mix well .
  5. Tomato rice is ready !!
(Tastes best with dhaniya/coriander chutney )
